Biography:
Ben was raised in small town Iowa where he was the first in his family to earn a four year degree. He currently operates a law practice in Independence, where he and his wife, Kelly raise their three daughters.
State of the Race:
Ben is facing incumbent Congressman Bruce Braley in the newly drawn 1st District. Rep. Braley is arguably one of the most liberal members on Congress.
